HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2000-136CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2000-136 RESOLUTION IMPOSING A CIVIL PENALTY AGAINST SPEEDWAY SUPERAMERICA LLC d/b/a SPEEDWAY SUPERAMERICA FOR LIQUOR COMPLIANCE CHECK VIOLATION WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department routinely conducts compliance checks on licensed liquor establishments within the City; and WHEREAS, during one of these checks conducted on July 20, 1999, an individual employed at Speedway SuperAmerica, 5750 Nathan Lane sold alcoholic beverage to an underage person; and WHEREAS, that individual has appeared in Hennepin County District Court and been found guilty of this violation; and WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statute and Plymouth City Code allow for administrative civil penalties against the license holders for such violations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City council adopt the resolution imposing a civil penalty against Speedway SuperAmerica LLC d/b/a Speedway Super America for a license suspension of 10 days to be served at the discretion of the City, and an administrative fine of $1,000. Adopted by the City Council on February 29, 2000.
