HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-350CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2011-350 A RESOLUTION APPROVING CERTIFICATION TO THE COUNTY FOR DELINQUENT UTILITY ACCOUNTS, FALSE ALARMS, AND WEED ERADICATION CHARGES WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has determined the rates and charges for utilities, false alarms, and weed eradication charges to be at the expense of the owners of the premises involved; and WHEREAS, all such sums become delinquent and assessable against the property served under Sections 715.03 and 720.16 of the Plymouth City Code, as adopted by City ordinances and under Minnesota Statutes 444.075, 429.101, and 429.061; and WHEREAS, an assessment role was prepared setting forth an assessment against each parcel of land served by utility services or charged for the costs of false alarms, and weed removal which remain unpaid at the close of business on November 11, 2011. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Finance Manager is hereby authorized to deliver said certification list to the Auditor of Hennepin County for collection in the same manner as other municipal taxes are collected and payment thereof enforced with an administrative penalty and interest at the rate of 1.72% per annum.
