HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-284CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2011-284 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FINDINGS OF FACT FOR THE REZONING OF LAND LOCATED AT 14920 27TH AVENUE NORTH (201 1056) WHEREAS, Rational Energies HC Inc. has requested reclassification of the zoning from I-2 to PUD for the 3.89 -acre parcel located at 14920 27t1' Avenue North, presently legally described as follows: Lot 8, Block 2, Circle Star business Center 2" a Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from I-2 to PUD. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Rational Energies HC Inc. for reclassification of the zoning from I-2 to PUD for the 3.89 -acre parcel at 14920 27th Avenue North, based on the following findings: The rezoning and proposed facility would be consistent with the objectives of the comprehensive plan and with the planned industrial guiding of the site. 2. The proposed development would meet the purpose and intent of the PUD zoning district. The PUD would allow oil manufacturing as a principal use, which would not be permitted in the I-2 district. 3.
