RESOLUTION No. 2011-247
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH FOR
A SKATE PARK, SHADE STRUCTURE AND BATTING CAGE AT THE PLYMOUTH CREEK
PLAYFIELD LOCATED AT 3625 FERNBROOK LANE (201 1045)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, has requested approval of a site plan amendment for a
skate park, shade stricture and batting cage for property described as:
The southwest '/4 quarter the southeast '/4 and that part of the southeast '/4 of the southeast
'/4 described as beginning at a point on the south line thereof distance 7 rods west of the
southeast corner thereof, thence north 8 rods, thence east to the west line of the road,
thence north to the southeast corner of Outlot B, Cedar Ridge, thence westerly and
northwesterly along the south lien of said Outlot B to the northwest corner of the
southeast '/4 of the southeast '/4 thence south to the southwest corner thereof, thence east
to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
meeting and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request
by the City of Plymouth for a site plan amendment for a skate park, shade stricture and batting
cage at Plymouth Creek Playfield, subject to the following conditions:
A site plan amendment is approved to: 1) relocate the skate park to this location, 2) add a
shade stricture and 3) add a batting cage, in accordance with the plans received by the city
on June 20 and 23, 2011 and July 12, 2011, except as may be amended by this resolution.
2. A separate building permit is required prior to installation of the shade structure and
the batting cage.
3. Silt fence shall be installed prior to any constriction on the site.
4. Standard Conditions:
a. The applicant shall remove any diseased or hazardous trees.
b. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per
ordinance provisions.
c. The site plan amendment shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the city
has substantially started constriction of the project, or unless the city grants an extension
to extend the expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under section
21045.09 of the zoning ordinance.
