HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-242CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2011-242 A RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR THE 2011 EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT, JAMESTOWN AND ZACHARY HILLS AREA CITY PROJECT NO. 11012 WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on July 26th, 2011, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost for the improvement located on Arrowood Lane from 49th Avenue to the cul-de-sac north, Cottonwood Lane, Deerwood Lane and Evergreen Lane from 48th Place to the cul-de-sac south, Deerwood Lane and Evergreen Lane from 48th Place to the cul-de-sac north, Evergreen Lane from 50th Avenue to the cul-de-sac north, 48th Place and 50th Place from Forestview Lane to the cul-de-sac west, 49th Place and 50th Place from Balsam Lane to the cul-de-sac west, 49th Avenue from Balsam Lane to the cul-de-sac east and 50th Place from Arrowood Lane to the cul-de-sac east, by edge mill and overlay of bituminous pavement, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: A hearing shall be held on the 23rd day of August, 2011, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. Approved this 26th day of July, 2011.
