RESOLUTION No. 2011-239
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT, ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
THE 2011 EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT, JAMESTOWN AND ZACHARY HILLS AREA
CITY PROJECT NO. 11012
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted May 24, 2011, a
report has been prepared with reference to the improvement located on Arrowood Lane from
49th Avenue to the cul-de-sac north, Cottonwood Lane, Deerwood Lane and Evergreen Lane
from 48th Place to the cul-de-sac south, Deerwood Lane and Evergreen Lane from 48th Place to
the cul-de-sac north, Evergreen Lane from 50th Avenue to the cul-de-sac north, 48th Place and
50th Place from Forestview Lane to the cul-de-sac west, 49th Place and 50th Place from Balsam
Lane to the cul-de-sac west, 49th Avenue from Balsam Lane to the cul-de-sac east and 50th
Place from Arrowood Lane to the cul-de-sac east; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the edge mill and overlay of streets and
all necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on July 26, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with
the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the
designated Edge Mill and Overlay Project, City Project No. 11012 for all or a
portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated
total cost of the improvement of $151,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 23rd day
of August, 2011 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400
Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the
improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of
such improvement.
