HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-224CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2011-224 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FINDINGS OF FACT FOR THE REZONING OF LAND LOCATED AT 2800 FERNBROOK LANE NORTH (201 1033) WHEREAS, Omara Architects has requested reclassification of the zoning from O to PUD for the 2.4 -acre parcel located at 2800 Fernbrook Lane North, presently legally described as follows: Lot 1, Block 1, Industrial Park 494, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from O to PUD. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Omara Architects for reclassification of the zoning from O to PUD for the 2.4 -acre parcel at 2800 Fernbrook Lane, based on the following findings: The rezoning and proposed addition would be consistent with the objectives of the comprehensive plan and with the commercial office guiding of the site. 2. The proposed development would meet the purpose and intent of the PUD zoning district by providing maximum discretion over fiiture expansions of the use on the property and allowing the property owner the ability to expand the building. 3.
