RESOLUTION No. 2011-214
A RESOLUTION APPROVING BIDS FOR COUNCIL
CHAMBERS RENOVATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the City of Plymouth Council
Chambers Renovation project, which includes both broadcast technology improvements and
broadcast facility (Chamber) constriction improvements; and
WHEREAS, multiple bids were received for technology and constriction; and
WHEREAS, following a review of the technology bids by the city technology consultant,
Elert & Associates, it appears Video Services Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder in compliance
with the advertised specifications with a total bid of $131,379.16; and
WHEREAS, following a review of the constriction bids by the city's consulting
architect, Cunningham Group, it appears Falls and Nyhusmoen is the lowest responsible bidder
in compliance with the advertised specifications with a total bid of $176,825.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that
The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract with Video Services Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Council
Chambers Renovation project according to the technology plans and specifications
therefore approved by the City Council by awarding a contract in the amount of
$131,379.16.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract with Falls and Nyhusmoen in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
Council Chambers Renovation project according to the constriction plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council by awarding a contract in the
amount of $176,825.
Funding for this project will come from the Northwest Cable Television Grant Fund.
Approved this 12th day of July 2011.
