HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-164CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2011-164 A RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR THE 2011 EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 11012 WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on May 24th, 2011, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost for the improvement located in five project areas. Area A is located in the northeast section of the City and includes Nathan Lane from Bass Lake Road to the cul-de-sac south of 54th Avenue, and from Schmidt Lake Road to 51st Avenue, 54t1' Avenue and 56th Avenue from Nathan Lane to Mendelssohn Avenue, and Mendelssohn Avenue from Schmidt Lake Road to 51" Avenue. Area B is located on Harbor Lane from Fernbrook Lane to Empire Lane and the adjacent cul-de-sacs of Empire Lane to the north and south of Harbor Lane. Area C is located on 23rd Avenue and 271h Avenue from Niagara Lane to Fernbrook Lane and 28t1' Avenue from Niagara Lane to 27t1' Avenue. Area D is the Ferndale North neighborhood, located east of Ferndale Road including 4th Avenue to 9t1' Avenue and Brockton Lane to Zircon Lane. Area E is located on Carlson Parkway from east of the Interstate 494 bridge overpass to 60 feet east of the Interstate 494 northbound on/off ramp, by edge mill and overlay of bituminous pavement, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 26th day of July, 2011, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. Approved this 24th day of May, 2011.
