RESOLUTION No. 2011-157
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF REMOTE CHEMICAL
CAPTURE EQUIPMENT, ASSOCIATED TRAINING AND M-4 RIFLES
WHEREAS, the police department is in need of new remote chemical capture
equipment and training for the humane care of larger injured and sick animals; and
WHEREAS, the current equipment is outdated, unusable and difficult to
use/deploy; and
WHEREAS, the police department is in need of two DPMS M-4 rifles for training
use at our range facility; and
WHEREAS, the current M-4 rifles are worn to the point of being unusable; and
WHEREAS, the city also has dedicated fiends available in the Resource Planning
Fund, DEA reserve for these types of purchases.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the police department be
authorized to utilize money from the DEA fiind to purchase new Remote Chemical
Capture Equipment, associated training and two new DPMS M-4 rifles for training.
