HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-132CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2011-132 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MULTI -AGENCY LAW ENFORCEMENT JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MINNESOTA INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASK FORCE WHEREAS, Minnesota has an Internet Crimes Against Children (MICAC) Task Force that is coordinated by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA); and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is concerned about issues involving children and has investigated Internet crimes against children occurring within the City; and WHEREAS, participation in the Task Force has a significant benefit for the Department including investigative and technical assistance, training, equipment, and information. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager is authorized to enter into a Multi -Agency Law Enforcement Joint Powers Agreement to participate in the Minnesota Internet Crimes Against Children (MICAC) Task Force.
