RESOLUTION No. 2011-124
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT
FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 9805 AND 9855 HIGHWAY 55(2010086
WHEREAS, the Quest Development, Inc. has initiated a comprehensive plan
amendment to reguide properties with a total of 4.34 acres currently guided LA -4 (living area 4)
to LA -5 (living area 5); and
WHEREAS, the property affected by the amendment is legally described as follows:
Lots I and 2, Block 1, Homestead Village Incorporated, according to the recorded plat
thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public
Hearing and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
request initiated by Quest Development, Inc. for property located at 9805 and 9855 Highway
55, based on the following findings:
1) The current conditions support a re-examination of the guiding.
2) The reguiding would not adversely affect land supply or demand.
3) The reguiding has merit beyond the interests of the applicant.
4) The reguiding would not result in negative effects on other comprehensive plan
elements.
5) The reguiding would not result in negative fiscal impacts to the city.
FURTHER, approval of the comprehensive plan amendments is contingent upon, and
subject to, the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
