HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-106CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2011-106 A RESOLUTION TO RECEIVE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT AND ORDER A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING LANCASTER LANE MILL AND OVERLAY AND WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 11010 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted April 12, 2011, a report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of Lancaster Lane from 36th Avenue to Rockford Road; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes replacement of the existing 8" watermain and the removal and replacement of the top layer of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter repair, storm sewer stricture repair, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, that said report is being received by the City Council on April 12, 2011; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated Lancaster Lane Mill and Overlay and Watermain Replacement Project, City Project No. 11010 for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $900,406. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on May 10, 2011 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
