HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-105CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2011-105 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE PARKERS LAKE STORM WATER LIFT STATION UPGRADE CITY PROJECT NO. 10017 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Parkers Lake Storm Water Lift Station Upgrade, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Base Bid Northwest Asphalt, Inc $261,071.50 Municipal Builders, Inc. $285,361.00 Minger Constriction, Inc. $290,000.00 Geislinger & Sons, Inc. $297,000.00 Landwehr Constriction, Inc. $300,773.00 Penn Contracting, Inc. $319,100.00 Park Constriction Company $ 328,600.00 Burschville Constriction, Inc. $353,125.00 Kuechle Underground, Inc. $362,000.00 G.F. Jedlicki, Inc $ 406,472.00 Engineer's Estimate $280,149.00 WHEREAS, it appears the bid from Northwest Asphalt, Inc. does not meet the City's responsible bidder criteria and their bid is therefore rejects; and WHEREAS, it appears Municipal Builders, Inc. of Andover, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are herby authorized and directed to enter into contract for the bid with Municipal Builders, Inc. of Andover, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Parkers Lake Storm Water Lift Station according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $285,361.00. FURTHERMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the fiinding for this project shall be from the Water Resources in the amount of $404,050.00. Approved this 12th day of April, 2011.
