RESOLUTION No. 2011-101
A RESOLUTION AWARDING BIDS FOR ATHLETIC FIELD LIGHTING
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth opened sealed bids on March 9, 2011, for athletic field
lighting replacement, and
WHEREAS, the City received four qualified bids for this work, and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder is Kilmer Electric in the amount of $1,885,645, and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending that alternative bids also be accepted in the amount
of $83,029 for warranty work, $55,343 for a ballfield at Zachary Playfield, $69,190 for lighting a
softball field at Parkers Lake Playfield, and $190,578 for two soccer fields at Elm Creek
Playfield,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the bid from Kilmer Electric is hereby
accepted, and fiirther, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to sign contracts with
Kilmer Electric for the installation of replacement and new lighting as outlined in the staff report
dated March 22, 2011, and fiirther, that fiinding will be determined at a fiiture Council meeting.
