RESOLUTION No. 2011-099
A RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACT FOR
CIMARRON PONDS STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 9113
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvements in the Cimarron
Ponds Street Reconstruction Project including the streets located west of Vicksburg Lane N,
south of and including 12th Avenue N, north of and including 10th Avenue N., Black Oaks Lane
west of 12th Avenue N, Archer Lane N west of 10th Avenue N, and Xene Lane N, Yuma Lane N,
and Zanzibar Lane N, south of 10t1' Avenue N. by reconstruction or rehabilitation of streets with
the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter installation and repair, and all
necessary appurtenances bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that GMH Asphalt Corporation of Chaska, MN is the lowest
responsible bidder complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract for Schedule A + Schedule B with GMH Asphalt Corporation of Chaska, MN in
Resolution No. 2011-099

the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvements in the Cimarron Ponds Street
Reconstruction Project including the streets located west of Vicksburg Lane N, south of
and including 12th Avenue N, north of and including 10th Avenue N., Black Oaks Lane
west of 12th Avenue N, Archer Lane N west of 10th Avenue N, and Xene Lane N, Yuma
Lane N, and Zanzibar Lane N, south of 10th Avenue N., according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Engineer in the amount of $1,064,160.84.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
