RESOLUTION No. 2011-047
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT, ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE SUN COURT MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 11006
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted October 26, 2010, a
report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of the area including Terraceview
Lane, south of 181h Avenue N, and the adjacent cul-de-sacs from 15th Place N to 17th Place N.;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes bituminous resurfacing of streets,
replacement of concrete curb and gutter, and all necessary appurtenances and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on February 22, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with
the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the
designated Sun Court Mill and Overlay Project, City Project No. 11006 for all
or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated
total cost of the improvement of $421,283.16.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 26th day
of April, 2011 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400
Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the
improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of
such improvement.
