RESOLUTION No. 2011-034
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EMERALD ASH BORER MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive and destructive forest pest; and
WHEREAS, EAB has been found as close as the Minneapolis/St. Paul border; and
WHEREAS, it is prudent for the City to prepare for the eventual introduction; and
WHEREAS, the Forestry division is responsible for protecting our forest resources; and
WHEREAS, the Park & Recreation Commission has reviewed and approved the plan;
and
WHEREAS, the City has secured MN State bonding matching grant money to combat the
problem proactively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that Emerald Ash Borer Management Plan is
approved.
