ESOLUTION TO WARD THE ONTRACT FOR THE IGNALS AT CHMIDT AKE OAD AND
CP,SLRFL,SL
HESHIRE ARKWAY CHMIDT AKE OAD AND ERNBROOK ANE AND CHMIDT AKE

WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the signals at Schmidt Lake Road and
Cheshire Parkway, Schmidt Lake Road and Fernbrook Lane, and Schmidt Lake Road and Nathan Lane, bids
were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Bid
Egan Company, Inc. $962,925.25
Ti-Zak Concrete, Inc. $1,266,980.75
Engineers Estimate $942,559.00
WHEREAS, it appears that Egan Company, Inc. out of Brooklyn Park, MN is the lowest responsible
bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Egan Company, Inc. out of
Brooklyn Park, MN.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract for the bid Egan Company, Inc. out of Brooklyn Park, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for
the signals at Schmidt Lake Road and Cheshire Parkway, Schmidt Lake Road and Fernbrook Lane, and
Schmidt Lake Road and Nathan Lane according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the
City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $962,925.25
FURTHERMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the funding for this project be from the following
sources: Developer Contribution ($365,625.25), the Street Reconstruction Fund ($91,187.57), and the
Municipal State Aid Fund ($554,715.18).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 8th day of September, 2015.
