RESOLUTION NO. 99-534
AWARD CONTRACT
COUNTY ROAD 6 SANITARY SEWER SERVICE
TROY LANE NORTH OF COUNTY ROAD 6
CITY PROJECT NO. 7018
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the County Road 6 Sanitary Sewer
Service, Troy Lane North Of County Road 6 Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law; and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received:
COMPANY BID
Penn Contracting, Inc. $149,329.10
G. L. Contracting, Inc. $168,204.86
Northdale Construction $187,610.22
WHEREAS, it appears that Penn Contracting, Inc. of Blaine Minnesota is the lowest responsible
bidder for City Project No. 7018; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that awarding the project to Penn Contracting, Inc. is in the
best interests of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract
with Penn Contracting, Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the County Road 6
Sanitary Sewer Service, Troy Lane North Of County Road 6 Project, City Project No. 7018
according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in
the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $149,329.10.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest
bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
