RESOLUTION 99-425
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AMENDING SECTION 21115 OF THE
PLYMOUTH CITY CODE (9908 1)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth finds it necessary to amend the Zoning Ordinance to permit
metal roofs for single family homes; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the text amendment at a duly called Public
Hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 99-25 amending the Zoning Ordinance
text to allow metal roofs for single family homes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that revisions to Section 21115.09, Subd. 3 of the City Code
are necessary based on the following findings:
1. The amendment is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies and plans.
2. The amendment meets the purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
3. The ordinance standards will ensure that metal roofs for single family homes do not adversely
impact the public health, safety, general welfare or aesthetics of the community.
