RESOLUTION No. 2015-264
RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO REGUIDE
ROUGHLY 15 ACRES FROM LA -4 To LA -2 FOR "BROCKTON PUD" (2015052)
WHEREAS, GWS Land Development, LLC has requested a comprehensive plan amendment to
reguide roughly 15 acres located south of Hamel Road and east of Brockton Lane from LA -4 (living area
4) to LA -2 (living area 2); and
WHEREAS, the site affected by the reguiding is presently legally described as follows:
Lot 20, Block 1, COPPER CREEK, according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County,
Minnesota.
AND
Commencing at a point 227.0 feet East of the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of
the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 118, Range 22 West for a place of beginning;
thence North and parallel with the West line of said Northwest Quarter of Southwest Quarter
a distance of 39.8 feet, more or less, to the Southerly line of County Road No. 9; thence
Southeasterly on the Southerly line of County Road No. 9 a distance of 13.5 feet, more or
less, to its intersection with South line of said Northwest Quarter of Southwest Quarter;
thence West on the South line of said Northwest Quarter of Southwest Quarter a distance
of 190.6 feet to the place of beginning.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing
and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the amendment to the comprehensive plan to
reguide roughly 15 acres located south of Hamel Road and east of Brockton Lane from LA -4 to LA -2.
FURTHER, to incorporate the changes, the city will modify Figure 3-1, 2030 Land Use Plan in
Chapter 3 of the Plymouth Comprehensive Plan; and
FURTHER, approval of the comprehensive plan amendment is contingent upon, and subject to,
the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
