HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1999-323CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 99-323 REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO. 5 AND FINAL 1998 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT - PHASE 1 CITY PROJECT NO. 8001 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as owner and Northwest Asphalt, Inc. as contractor, have entered into an agreement for 1998 Street Reconstruction Project — Phase 1, City Project No. 8001, said agreement being dated May 6, 1998; and WHEREAS, the Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the final request for payment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the original contract amount was $808,603.94. One (1) change order was approved in the amount of $1,742.07 and the value of the work to date is $772,787.86 and is herewith approved. This project does not exceed the revised contract amount. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for 1998 Street Reconstruction Project - Phase 1 and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is hereby released from the engineer as acceptable from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 5 and Final in the amount of $19,891.08 to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. for 1998 Street Reconstruction Project — Phase 1 is hereby approved and the City Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith.
