HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1999-312CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 99-312 RESOLUTION REINSTATING A CIVIL PENALTY AGAINST APPLEBAUM COMPANIES, INC. d/b/a SID'S DISCOUNT LIQUORS FOR LIQUOR COMPLIANCE CHECK VIOLATION WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department routine conducts compliance checks on licensed liquor establishments within the City; and WHEREAS, during one of these checks conducted on November 2"d, 1998, an individual employed at Sid's Discount Liquors, 10200 6th Avenue N sold alcoholic beverage to an underage person; and WHEREAS, based on that violation the City Council held an administrative hearing at the March 16, 1999 meeting and adopted Resolution 99-135 imposing a civil penalty of an administrative fine of $500 and a license suspension of 5 days with 2 days stayed which would be reinstated if there was an illegal sale in the next twelve months; and WHEREAS, during a subsequent compliance check on July 14, 1999 and illegal sale was again made at Sid's Discount Liquors, 10200 6th Avenue North. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution reinstating the imposition a civil penalty against Applebaum Companies, Inc. d/b/a Sid's Discount Liquors for a license suspension of 2 days to be served at the discretion of the City. Adopted by the City Council on July 20, 1999.
