RESOLUTION NO. 99-165
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
FERNDALE ROAD STREET AND TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 6007
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for reconstruction of Ferndale Road Street
and Trail Improvements and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and
tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisement:

Midwest Asphalt 1,218,813.45
Northwest Asphalt, Inc. 1,250,965.88
C.S. McCrossan, Inc. 1,261,123.69
Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. 1,311,725.00
WHEREAS, it appears that S M Hentges & Sons, Inc. of Jordan, MN is the lowest responsible
bidder, complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract
with S M Hentges & Sons, Inc. of Jordan, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
construction of Ferndale Road Street and Trail Improvements according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Engineer in the amount of $1,118,856.11.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
