HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1999-136CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 99-136 RESOLUTION IMPOSING A CIVIL PENALTY AGAINST ASHBECK-GUTH, INC. d/b/a/ COLONY LIQUOR STORE FOR LIQUOR COMPLIANCE CHECK VIOLATION WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department routine conducts compliance checks on licensed liquor establishments within the City; and WHEREAS, during one of these checks conducted on November 6th, 1998, an individual employed at Colony Liquor Store, 15705 35th Avenue North sold alcoholic beverage to an underage person; and WHEREAS, that clerk has appeared in Hennepin County District Court and been found guilty of this violation; and WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statue and Plymouth City Code allow for administrative civil penalties against the license holders for such violations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that City Council adopt the resolution imposing a civil penalty against Ashbeck-Guth, Inc. d/b/a Colony Liquor Store for a license suspension of 5 days with 2 days stayed which would be reinstated if there was an illegal sale in the next 12 months to be served at the discretion of the City, and an administrative fine of $500.
