RESOLUTION NO. 99-66
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF
A PERPETUAL EASEMENT FOR STREET PURPOSES
SILVERTHORNE ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate a perpetual easement for street purposes; and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by a majority of the owners of the land abutting the area
proposed to be vacated; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for February 2, 1999 in
accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 and the City Charter Section 12.06; and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the
meeting of February 2, 1999; and
WHEREAS, all property owners adjacent to the proposed vacation were duly notified by mail; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on February 2, 1999 to inform any and all interested
parties relevant to the vacation of a perpetual easement for street purposes; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said easements were not needed for public
purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the following perpetual easement for street purposes be vacated:
A perpetual easement for street purposes and for the purpose of constricting and
maintaining a turn -around over and across that portion of the Southeast Quarter (SE '/4)
of the Northwest Quarter (NW '/4) of Section 9, Township 118, Range 22, described as
follows:
Commencing at the Southeast (SE) corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW '/4) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW '/4) of said Section 9, Township 118, Range 22; thence North

along a line parallel to the West line of said Southwest Quarter (SW '/4) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW '/4) of said Section 9 a distance of 65 feet to the point of
beginning of the land herein described; thence East, at right angles, along a line parallel
to the South line of said Southwest Quarter (SW '/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW '/4)
of said Section 9 a distance of 50 feet; thence North, at right angles, along a line parallel
with the West line of said Southwest Quarter (SW '/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW '/4)
of said Section 9 a distance of 70 feet; thence West, at right angles, along a line parallel
with the South line of said Southwest Quarter (SW '/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW
'/4) of said Section 9 a distance of 50 feet; thence South, at right angles along a line
parallel to the West line of said Southwest Quarter (SW '/4) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW '/4) of said Section 9 a distance of 70 feet to the point of beginning of the land
herein described.
