RESOLUTION 99-48
APPROVING AN INTERIM HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE FOR KARL AND
JOYCE POKORNY, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1890 TROY LANE NORTH

WHEREAS, Karl and Joyce Pokorny have requested an interim home occupation license
to allow non-resident employees for their existing landscape business located at 1890 Troy
Lane North; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
meeting and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
request by Karl and Joyce Pokorny for an interim home occupation license to allow non-
resident employees for their existing landscape business at 1890 Troy Lane North, subject
to the following conditions:
1. The interim home occupation license is approved for Karl and Joyce Pokorny, in
accordance with the application received by the City on September 29, 1998,
except as amended by this resolution.
2. This interim home occupation license is valid for one year from the date of
approval. The applicant may then apply to the Zoning Administrator for renewal
of the interim home occupation license for periods of up to three years each.
3. This home occupation license shall not run with the land and shall not be
transferable.

4. No person other than those who reside on the premises shall engage in business
activities on the premises. The business may employ non-resident employees only
if their work activities are performed off the premises.
5. The employees shall not report to work at the premises, but rather shall report to
work at the assigned job locations.
6. Compliance with the general provisions for home occupations, as specified in
Section 21145.04, Subd. 1 of the Zoning Ordinance.
7. The applicants may use Tract B of their property, which is a separate parcel zoned
FRD, for the raising and storage of live plantings. The applicants shall not use
Tract B for the storage of soil, wood mulch, decorative rock, or other similar
materials.
