RESOLUTION NO. 99-8
APPROVING PAYMENT
INTER -CITY STORM WATER IMPROVEMENTS
CITY OF NEW HOPE/CITY OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, Plymouth and New Hope have acknowledged that there are inter -city flows of
storm water drainage; and
WHEREAS, in areas where ponding cannot be provided to reduce the flow before being
discharged in the adjacent community; and
WHEREAS, there is a proposed cost sharing between the cities on improvements to
accommodate these flows; and
WHEREAS, New Hope has completed the project for the Northwood Lake area and New
Hope has acknowledged that Plymouth will have a fiiture project on the drainageway
between Highway 169 and Medicine Lake.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That payment is authorized to the City of New
Hope in the amount of $115,949 for the Northwood Lake Improvement Project with fiinds
from the City of Plymouth's Storm Water Fund.
FURTHER, that New Hope has acknowledged in a letter from its City Manager dated
December 4, 1998, that they will have a responsibility for similar participation in the
Plymouth Improvement Project in the fiiture.
Adopted by the City Council on January 5, 1999.
