RESOLUTION 98-754
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AMENDING SECTION 21005
(DEFINITIONS) AND SECTION 21170.01 (KEEPING ANIMALS) OF THE
PLYMOUTH CITY CODE (98182)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has found it necessary to amend the City Code with
respect to the keeping of animals within the City; and
WHEREAS, revisions to the Zoning Ordinance, City Code Sections 21005 and 21170.01
are necessary in order to maintain consistency with the regulations adopted elsewhere in
the Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the Zoning Ordinance text
amendments at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 98-44 amending the Zoning
Ordinance text relating the keeping of animals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that revisions to Section 21005 and
Section 21170.01 of the City Code are necessary based on the following findings:
1. The amendments are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies
and plans.
2. The amendments meet the purpose and intent of the Ordinance.
3. The amendments are necessary to maintain consistency within the City Code.
Adopted by the City Council on this 16th day of December, 1998.
