HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-736CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO 98-736 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DEFIBRILLATOR AGREEMENT WHEREAS, on November 16, 1998, the Plymouth Police Department received a notice from the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety we were eligible to receive two Automated Defibrillator Units (AED). WHEREAS, this agreement will allow two additional district police squad cars to be equipped with AED technology. WHEREAS, acceptance of this agreement will have no budgetary impact. WHEREAS, all training for use of the AED units will be provided by the Medical Director from North Memorial Medical Center, at no cost to the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota enter into Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety pertaining to the distribution of automated external defibrillators to law enforcement agencies. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Craig C. Gerdes, Director of Public Safety, is hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary to implement this program on behalf of the City of Plymouth. Adopted by the City Council on December 16, 1998.
