RESOLUTION NO. 98-720
CALLING FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
KINGSVIEW LANE STREET IMPROVEMENTS
NIAGARA LANE TO GLEASON LAKE DRIVE
CITY PROJECT NO. 9002
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the Council adopted August 5, 1998 a report has
been prepared with respect to improving Kingsview Lane from Niagara Lane to Gleason
Lake Drive; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the improvement of streets by the
installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, and all
necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report was received by the Council on October 21, 1998;
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a Public Improvement Hearing on November 18, 1998
and at the conclusion of the hearing voted on the Resolution to order the improvement
project, which Resolution did not pass on a three to three vote; and
WHEREAS, at the December 2, 1998 meeting the City Council approved a motion to
reconsider the improvement project and the City Attorney has advised that a new public
hearing is required before the City Council could order the improvement project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such area in accordance
with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property
within the Kingsview Lane Street Improvement Project area for all or a
portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an
estimated total cost of the improvement of $220,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the
20th day of January, 1999 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth
City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk
shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and
improvements as required by law.
