HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-680CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 98-680 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF PART OF DEERWOOD LANE STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AND DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT FOR PONDING WITHIN LOTS 7, 8, 9, 10 AND 11, BLOCK 1, AND LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 2, AND OUTLOT A AND B, PIKE LAKE WOODS ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate the following drainage and utility easements, drainage easement for ponding and street right-of-way; and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by a majority of the owners of the land abutting the area proposed to be vacated; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for November 4, 1998, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 and the City Charter Section 12.06; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of November 4, 1998; and WHEREAS, all property owners adjacent to the proposed vacation were duly notified by mail; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on November 4, 1998 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of the following drainage and utility easements, drainage easement for ponding and street right-of-way; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said easements were not needed for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the following the following drainage and utility easements, drainage easement for ponding and street right-of-way be vacated: C Documents and Settuig, e,uigei Local Settuig, TempCCR 1998 -680_5911 -,CCR 1998-680 doe Resolution 98-680 Page Two All of the drainage and utility easements within Lots 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, Block 1 and Lots 2 and 3, Block 2 and Outlots A and B as platted in Pike Lake Woods, Hennepin County. Also Easement for ponding within Outlot B as platted in Pike Lake Woods, Hennepin County. Also That part of Deerwood Lane North as platted in Pike Lake Woods, Hennepin County, Minnesota lying northerly of a line 25 feet northerly as measured perpendicular to the existing centerline and southerly of the line 25 feet southerly as measured perpendicular to the existing centerline and which lies westerly of the east line and its southerly extension of Lot 11, Block 1 as platted in said Pike Lake Woods. Adopted by the City Council on November 4, 1998.
