APPROVING REALLOCATION OF $10,000 IN 1997 COMM[_]NITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS TO COMM[_]NITY ACTION FOR SUBURBAN
HENNEPIN
WHEREAS, Community Action for Suburban Hennepin (CASH) has provided a continued
increase in service to City of Plymouth residents in need of a variety of social services since
1994 and CASH has requested Plymouth CDBG funding for 1998; and,
WHEREAS, unexpended funds are available from the 1997 CDBG allocation for Program
Administration and the Westonka Community Action Network Program to provide funding for
CASH; and,
WHEREAS, on September 17, 1998, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority
(HRA) held a regular meeting to discuss the proposed reallocation of certain unexpended CDBG
funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby approves the reallocation of $10,000 from the 1997
CDBG budget, $2,500 in unexpended account balances from the Program Administration
activity and $7,500 from the Westonka Community Action Network program activity, to the
Community Action for Suburban Hennepin (CASH) program activity, and directs staff to notify
the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development of the reallocation of fiends.
Adopted by the Plymouth City Council on November 4, 1998.
