RESOLUTION NO. 98-625
REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY TO INSTALL TRAFFIC SIGNAL
VICKSBURG LANE AND COUNTY ROAD 9
WHEREAS, an investigation has been completed by Hennepin County which indicates that
traffic signal warrants and the minimum priority factor is exceeded for the installation of a traffic
signal at Vicksburg Lane and County Road 9; and
WHEREAS, traffic will continue to increase at this intersection due to development in the City
Center area and other adjacent areas of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, there has been a substantial number of accidents at this intersection which should
be reduced by the installation of a traffic signal; and
WHEREAS, a traffic signal will improve the flow of traffic at the intersection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That Hennepin County is requested to install a traffic signal
at the intersection of County Road 9 and Vicksburg Lane.
FURTHER, that the City of Plymouth is prepared to pay its cost for the traffic signal installation
in accordance with the County adopted funding policy.
Adopted by the City Council on October 7, 1998.
