HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-609CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 98-609 AMENDING CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL FRENCH RIDGE PARK ADDITION (94159) WHEREAS, the proposed conditions of approval for the French Ridge Park Addition at 39th Avenue and Northwest Boulevard were amended by the City Council at the April 4, 1995 meeting to include a condition prohibiting left turns from 39th Avenue to Northwest Boulevard; and WHEREAS, this condition was included to address potential safety concerns with traffic making left turns from 39th Avenue onto Northwest Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the developers' engineer has requested that this condition be eliminated due to the hardship it causes to the residents living on 39th Avenue and his measurements indicating that there is adequate stopping site distance at this intersection; and WHEREAS, staff is supportive of this request during nonrush hour times when traffic levels on Northwest Boulevard are relatively low and safe maneuvers can be easily made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the condition of approval for the French Ridge Park Addition prohibiting left turns from 39th Avenue to Northwest Boulevard anytime be changed to prohibit left turns only during the hours between 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
