HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-587CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 98-587 AWARDING BID 1998 TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 8021 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of the 1998 Trail Improvements and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Lan Dar Inc. $103,644.35 Hardrives Inc. 111,311.50 Expert Asphalt & Sealcoating, Inc. 112,999.00 ACI Constriction, Inc. 118,909.30 North Valley, Inc. 136,022.35 Barber Constriction Company, Inc. 138,881.50 Bituminous Roadways, Inc. 162,380.50 W.B. Miller, Inc. 162,626.45 C.S. McCrossan Constriction, Inc. 174,879.80 WHEREAS, it appears that Lan Dar Inc. of Plymouth, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Lan Dar Inc. of Plymouth, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 1998 Trail Improvements according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $1031,644.315. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successfill bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
