RESOLUTION 98 - 586
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH
OF MEDINA ROAD, SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 55 AND EAST OF CO. RD. 10 1(98117)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested reclassification of the zoning from Future
Restricted Development (FRD) to Multiple Family 2 (RMF -2) and Public Institutional (P -I) for
the property located north of Medina Road, south of Highway 55, and east of Co. Rd. 101, also
described as follows:
That part of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter, and the south half of the southeast
quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 18, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, which lies east of the right-of-way line of Co. Rd. 101; thence west 589 feet to the
southwesterly line of the right-of-way of State Highway 55; thence southeast 1018 feet along said
right-of-way line; thence southwest 321 feet; thence south 160 feet; thence east 336 feet; thence
south 397.5 feet; thence west 60 feet; thence south 380 feet; thence east 320 feet; thence north
330 feet; thence west 338 feet to the easterly line of the right-of-way of Co. Rd. 101; thence north
along said right-of-way line to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing
and recommends approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for
reclassification of the zoning from Future Restricted Development (FRD) to Multiple Family 2
(RMF -2) and Public Institutional (P -I) for property located north of Medina Road, south of
Highway 55, and east of Co. Rd. 101, based on the following findings:
1. The proposed rezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies and
plans.
2. The subject parcels meet the applicable standards of the P -I (Public Institutional) and Multiple
Family 2 (RMF -2) zoning districts.
3. There is adequate infrastructure available to support the proposed zoning.
