RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 512
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF
SCHMIDT LAKE ROAD STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY
SILVERTHORNE ADDITION
WIffiREAS, a petition was received to vacate a certain portion of Schmidt Lake Road street right-of-
way; and
WI4EREAS, said petition was signed by a majority of the owners of the land abutting the area
proposed to be vacated; and
WI4EREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for August 19, 1998 in
accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 and the City Charter Section 12.06; and
WIffiREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the
meeting of August 19, 1998; and
WIffiREAS, all property owners adjacent to the proposed vacation were duly notified by mail; and
WIffiREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on August 19, 1998 to inform any and all interested
parties relevant to the vacation of a certain portion of Schmidt Lake Road right-of-way; and
WI4EREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said right-of-way was not needed for public
purposes;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the following portion of Schmidt Lake Road street right-of-way
be vacated:
That part of Schmidt Lake Road as dedicated in the plat of Silverthorne, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, lying east of a line described as follows: Commencing at the
southeast corner of Outlot E, in said Silverthorne; thence South 89 degrees 11 minutes
45 seconds West, assumed bearing, along the south line of said Outlot E a distance of
235.88 feet to the point of beginning of the line to be described; thence North a distance
of 202.68 feet to the northerly right-of-way line of said Schmidt Lake Road and there
terminating.
Adopted by the City Council on August 19, 1998.
