HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-486CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 98-486 DESIGNING A NATURAL PRESERVE PURSUANT TO PLYMOUTH CITY CODE SECTION 810 WHEREAS, Plymouth City Code Section 810 provides that a property owner may request that the City Council designate portions of their property as a natural preserve provided certain criteria are met; and WHEREAS, designation of natural preserve exempts the property from the 8 inch vegetation height maximum, but not from the state requirements to eradicate noxious weeks; and WHEREAS, Scott Rollins and Mary Schmidt, 10705 50t1i Avenue North have requested a natural preserve over a portion of their property, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does, declare a portion of the parcel located at 10705 50t11 Avenue North as a natural preserve as shown in the survey and attached to the staff report of August 19, 1998. FURTHER, that as a condition of the initial and continued natural preserves declaration, the property owner is responsible for mowing a buffer strip along traveled streets and walkways, and eradicating all forms of noxious weeds from the property in accordance with state statue.
