HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-475CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 98-475 APPROVING LAND USE GUIDE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR ELIM CARE AND ROTTLUND HOMES FOR PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF MEDINA ROAD, EAST OF CO. RD. 101, AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 55. (98094) WHEREAS, Elim Care and Rottlund Homes have requested reclassification of the land use guiding from LA -3 (Living Area 3) to LA -4 (Living Area 4) for approximately a 17.3 -acre property located north of Medina Road, east of Co. Rd. 101, and south of Highway 55. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Elim Care and Rottlund Homes for reclassification of the land use guiding from LA -3 (Living Area 3) to LA -4 (Living Area 4) for a 17.3 -acre property located north of Medina Road, east of Co. Rd. 101, and south of Highway 55, based on the following findings: LA -4 would provide a greater opportunity for site development meeting the City's objectives for housing diversity and life cycle housing. 2. The site meets the location criteria for both LA -3 and LA -4. 3. There is adequate infrastructure for development under LA -3 or LA -4 FURTHER, approval of the Land Use Guide Plan Amendment is contingent upon, and subject to, the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council. Adopted by the City Council on this 5th day of August, 1998. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS.
