RESOLUTION NO. 98-437
AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION
OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
CSAH 9/I-494 PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE AND
DESIGNATING THE ENGINEER
WHEREAS, the City made application for Federal funding in 1995, through the Intermodal
Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) Grant Program and received approval
through the Metropolitan Council's Transportation Advisory Board for Federal funding in
Fiscal Year 1999; and
WHEREAS, additional funding was approved through MnDOT's Municipal Agreement
Program in 1998; and
WHEREAS, A request for proposal was responded to by the City's three primary consulting
engineering firms of Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc. (SEH), Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik
and Assoc., Inc. (BRA), and SRF Consulting Group, Inc. (SRF) on July 10, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Upon review of the three proposals, the only significant difference was with
SRF Consulting Group, Inc.'s estimated engineering fee for the various tasks through the
preparation and approval of final plans.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That City Project No. 5012, a pedestrian overpass
bridge along County Road 9 over I-494 be ordered and the firm SRF Consulting Group, Inc.
be designated as the engineering firm to prepare plans and specifications and complete the
constriction and all necessary grant requirements through final approval.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City fiinding for this project be designated from
the Park Dedication Fund.
