RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 386
AUTHORIZING FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING THROUGH THE
YOUTH SPORTS & RECREATION GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission (MASC), via the State General Fund, provides
fiends to assist political subdivisions of the State of Minnesota for the development of youth sports and
recreation programs, and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Park and Recreation Department desires to provide a series of "Youth with
Promise" Pre -season Training Camps;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL that:
1. The estimated total cost of developing said program shall be $7,640*; and that Plymouth Park and
Recreation is requesting $5,000 from the State General Fund.
2. The Plymouth Park and Recreation Department is authorized and directed to execute said application, and
serve as the official liaison with the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission.
Adopted by the City Council on June 24, 1998.
*$2,640 of the total will be in kind contributions of building rental, transportation using the YMCA and CONECT vans and
reusable program supplies that are on hand.
