HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-348CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 348 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID ZACHARY LANE STREET AND TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 5030 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for reconstruction of Zachary Lane Street and Trail Improvements, and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY BASE BID W/ALTERNATE A C.S. McCrosssan $3,182,658.59 $3,102,686.08 Hardrives, Inc. 3,193,815.02 3,166,108.82 Ames Construction 3,392,898.11 No Alternate Bid Arnt Construction 3,454,854.93 3,427,037.18 WHEREAS, it appears that C.S. McCrossan, Inc. of Maple Grove, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with C.S. McCrossan, Inc. of Maple Grove, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Zachary Lane Street and Trail Improvements according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $3,182,658.59. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
