RESOLUTION 98-299
REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL MOWING ALONG COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has a number of County Roads within the City of
Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, a number of these County Roads cross through residential areas of the City;
and
WHEREAS, the rights-of-way for these roads are often very large in area; and
WHEREAS, County staff has informed the City that the County policy on mowing is to
mow only one strip along the actual roadway at a frequency of no more than twice per
year; and
WHEREAS, citizens of Plymouth have filed complaints about the appearance of large,
unmowed County right-of-way areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Plymouth City Council that the County
is hereby requested to review its mowing policy and increase both the extent and the
frequency of mowing along County Roads.
Adopted by the Plymouth City Council on May 6, 1998.
