HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-286CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 286 RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT 1998 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT - PHASE I CITY PROJECT NO. 8001 WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on May 6, 1998 the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the total cost of the improvement of certain streets in Maintenance District 23: • 32"a Avenue from Plymouth Boulevard to Juneau Lane • 31" Avenue from Niagara Lane to Juneau Lane • Juneau Lane from 31" Avenue to 32"a Avenue • Niagara Lane from 31" Avenue to the cul-de-sac north of 32"a Avenue • Minnesota Lane from 32"a Avenue to the cul-de-sac north of 32"a Avenue • Lanewood Lane from 32"a Avenue to the cul-de-sac north of 32"a Avenue by installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. A hearing shall be held on the 20th day of May, 1998, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. Adopted by the City Council on May 6, 1998.
