RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 188
ORDERING A SPECIAL ELECTION ON THE
QUESTION OF ISSUING GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
AND APPROVING THE BALLOT QUESTION
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the community
to allow the electors to vote on whether or not to authorize the issuance of general obligation
bonds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
I . A special election is hereby called for the 19t11 day of May, 1998, for the special purpose
of submitting substantially the following question to the electors: "Shall the City Council
of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota be authorized to issue its general obligation bonds in
the amount not to exceed $4,500,000 to be combined with other existing fiinds for the
purpose of constricting, equipping and fiirnishing buildings to be used as an activity
center, field house, and for other public purposes?"
2. The form of the official ballot attached hereto is approved.
3. The City Clerk is directed to take all necessary steps to call the special election.
ADOPTED by the City Council on March 18, 1998.

The undersigned, being the duly qualified and appointed City Clerk of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota, certifies that I compared the foregoing resolution adopted at a meeting
of the Plymouth City Council on March 18, 1998, with the original thereof on file in my
office, and the same is a correct transcription thereof.

QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY
TAX INCREASE.
The Maximum amount of increased levy as a percentage of
market value is . 0111 %.
The amount that will be raised by the new referendum tax
rate in the first year it is to be levied is $457,756.00

the word "YES". If you wish to vote against the above proposition, mark a cross (X) in the
square before this word "NO"
