RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 181
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
1998 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT - PHASE I
CITY PROJECT NO. 8001
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on February 4, 1998 the City
Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of certain streets in
Maintenance District 23: 32"a Avenue from Plymouth Boulevard to Juneau Lane, 31"
Avenue from Niagara Lane to Juneau Lane, Juneau Lane from 31" Avenue to 32"a
Avenue, Niagara Lane from 31" Avenue to the cul-de-sac north of 32"a Avenue,
Minnesota Lane from 32"a Avenue to the cul-de-sac north of 32"a Avenue and Lanewood
Lane from 32"a Avenue to the cul-de-sac north of 32"a Avenue, by reconstruction of
streets by the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer
and all necessary appurtenances and has presented such plans and specifications to the
Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City
Engineer's office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the
making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications.
The advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be
done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00
a.m. on April 16, 1998 at which time they will be publicly opened in the
Hadley Lake Conference Room of the Plymouth City Center building at
3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and
that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk
and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
Adopted by the City Council on March 18, 1998.
