RESOLUTION 98-169
APPROVING SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR LEN BUSCH ROSES LOCATED AT
4045 CO. RD. 101 (98009)
WHEREAS, Len Busch Roses has requested approval of a site plan amendment for the
constriction of two greenhouse buildings for property located north of Medina Road and
east of Brockton Lane;
WHEREAS, the property is legally described as follows:
The South Half of the Northwest Quarter and the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 18, Township 118, Range 22, lying northerly of the northerly right of way of
Medina Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
request from Len Busch Roses for a site plan amendment for constriction of two
greenhouse buildings, subject to the following conditions:
1. This site plan amendment is for constriction of two greenhouse buildings
approximately 35,000 square feet in size, as shown on plans received on January 30,
1998, except as amended by this resolution.
2. The applicant shall comply with the conditions outlined in the City Engineer's
Memorandum.
3. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals
per Ordinance provisions.

4. The greenhouse lighting shall comply with the 1990 "Lighting Plan" as it relates to
screening requirements. The screening material shall provide at least 55 percent
opacity.
5. The applicant shall submit a landscaping plan. The landscaping plan shall include a
minimum of 20 evergreen trees at least six feet in height.
6. This approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property
owner or applicant has substantially started constriction of the project, or unless the
landowner or applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the
expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of
the Zoning Ordinance.
