HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1998-159CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 159 DIRECTING PARKS DEPARTMENT TO PROCEED WITH BIDDING OF SKATE PARK WHEREAS, the City Council has received numerous input from residents, Park and Recreation Advisory Commission and staff on the need for a place for children to skateboard and rollerblade, and WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has submitted a report outlining various options for addressing this issue in our community, and WHEREAS, in accordance with past Council direction, the Director of Parks Recreation has negotiated an acquisition price for the development of a skateboard park in Plymouth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL that the Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to proceed with accepting formal bids for the development of a skateboard park in accordance with his memo dated February 24, 1998, and fi rther, that he is also directed to prepare bid specifications for contracting out the operation of a Plymouth skateboard park to a private vendor.
